What the customer sees#

  • A tracking page. A tokenized link showing where their job stands and when someone is coming, with no account required and nothing else exposed. It reaches them on the on-the-way message, so that event has to be switched on.
  • A photo gallery. A tokenized link to the photos from their own job, without an account and without seeing anyone else's.
  • An estimate to approve. Presented on site or sent, signed in person or remotely.

On the tracking page#

While the visit is en route the page shows the assigned technician's first name and photo, a live pin and an ETA, and it updates on its own without the customer refreshing. Before and after that window it shows the visit's status and the appointment time with the timezone named, so a customer in another zone is not left doing the arithmetic.

The link resolves on your brand's verified domain when the sub-account has one, and on the agency default otherwise. It never hands out a raw platform URL.

The on-the-way message is not the only way a customer gets the link. The office can copy it from the visit at any time, which mints one if the visit does not have one yet.

The office can also revoke it. Revoking kills the token, and the customer's page stops resolving. The part worth knowing is what happens next: a technician tapping "on my way" again will not quietly mint a replacement. Only a deliberate office act brings a link back, and it issues a new URL, so a link that was texted to the wrong number, or forwarded on, stays dead. Creating, reinstating and revoking a link are each recorded separately in the audit trail, so a reinstatement does not read like a first mint.

Nothing is public by default. The office picks which of a job's photos the customer sees, and the shared set is checked against that job's own photos both when it is shared and when the gallery is read, so a photo removed from the job leaves the gallery with it.

One limit to hold onto: removing the last shared photo does not revoke the gallery link. The link stays live and shows an empty gallery rather than the removed photo. Killing the link is its own act, the same revoke the tracking link has.
